The Katz program at the University of Pittsburgh is a great one for people who do not have a business background. The school places a lot of focus, especially in the first year, on making sure students have a strong foundation before taking them further into the MBA process. Coming from a communications background, I was nervous that I would be behind my classmates in the beginning, but I really felt like I had a good understanding of the basics after my first semester before I really dove into the various electives.
The Wharton School did an analysis of the best MBA programs in each PA county. They ranked Duquesne as #1 and Pitt as #2 for Allegheny Co. They assigned points based on class size, graduate earning potential/income, employment rate, GMAT scores, and number of doctoral applications. Neither IUP or Waynesburg made their list. It’s nice to see a sampling with the prices included. Thanks!
Mark,
Thanks for the additional information! I added IUP or Waynesburg to list since they are among the largest in the ‘Pittsburgh Area.’ I know that Duquesne and Pitt are pretty comparable although Duquesne is not ranked.
