Steelers DE Brett Keisel’s beard is arguably more famous than he is. Case in point, his beard’s Facebook page has over 38,000 likes. What has become a tradition, Keisel, along with the help of his teammates and coach, shear his beard each year during a fundraiser for cancer programs at Children’s Hospital.
Last year’s “Shear the Beard” fundraiser raised over $40,000 and they expect this year’s figures to be even bigger. “Even now, looking in the mirror, it’s strange because I’ve had the beard for so long, but it was a great night down here,” Keisel told KDKA news.
