“Act of Valor” (Movie Review)

As a veteran, nothing bugs me more about war movies than actors not holding a weapon correctly, misusing military jargon or using improper fighting techniques. To the civilian, these details may go unnoticed, but savvy vets will spot an impostor from a mile away.

The creators of “Act of Valor” hit the nail on the head when casting real Navy SEALs to perform action sequences throughout the movie. This coupled with amazing action shots and unrelenting suspense makes for one of the most realistic portrayals of war aside from a documentary to date.

Act of Valor - Nay SEAL

“Act of Valor” lives up to the expectations on the military side, with state of art weapons, lingo and plenty of action to keep you on the edge of your seat. Unfortunately, the movie lacked in terms of character development with very little connections to the SEAL Team members. The story line is believable and could of all ready happened or may happen in the near future, which makes this movie that much better and worth seeing again for me. – Steve Adams (Navy Veteran)
