In yet another brilliant overreach of the greedy shit-hooks of government bureaucrats, Sriracha is under the gun of California legislatures who are attempting to force the popular Asian hot sauce out of the state for good. Cali regulators have already forced Sriracha to halt all production for a month while they investigated their processes. Now the Nanny State is attempting to strongarm Sriracha into leaving altogether.

What’s the reasoning behind this you may ask? Sriracha sauce is not cooked and loaded with chemicals and preservatives. It’s only mashed and blended during production. California state legislators say Huy Fong needs to make sure its product is not harboring dangerous bacteria and cannot do so without changing their process. Apparently 30 years of successful product usage isn’t substantial evidence to support the safety of Sriracha sauce on the general public. According to a statement by California Health Department official Anita Gore, their policy has changed and now Sriracha has to abide by the new rules.

It is cruel irony that Sriracha sauce embodies the California hipster foodie movement with its true to form farm-t0-fork methodology and yet it’s being shut down by the big brother government rule those types of people support wholeheartedly. There is currently a shortage of Sriracha sauce in America thanks to this bullshit and if this doesn’t get the people to revolt, we are doomed to live in a world without Sriracha and therefore a world without freedom.
