Chick-Fil-A Sets Record Sales Day

Yesterday was “Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day,” a tribute to freedom of speech and individual opinion. The day was launched by former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee in response to negative media attention and subsequent boycott of Chick-Fil-A. The drama came from those whose opinions on the definition of marriage differ from that of the Christian owner, Dan Cathy, who simply stated that he believed in traditional marriage between a man and a woman.

The media asked Mr. Cathy a loaded question and he gave an honest answer. It’s a sad day when people are demonized for speaking their mind. In my opinion, those who stand for nothing will fall for everything.

As per the Cathy family donating towards causes they support, it’s THEIR money. Personally I don’t care what people do with their own money. I care more about what government does with MY money.

The result of the anti-American boycott? Chick-Fil-A was packed to the gills yesterday and gained countless new customers (including me). Chick-Fil-A reportedly had record sales on “Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day.” Most of the people there (also including me) couldn’t care less about the gay marriage debate. They were there in support of Dan Cathy’s freedom of speech because they rightfully see it as a slippery slope to a communist state, in which people are damned for offering a difference of opinion contrary to the status quo.

Perhaps this is what Obama’s shamed reverend Jeremiah Wright meant when quoting Malcolm X in his “America’s chickens are coming home to roost” gaffe.
