Nothing puts a smile on someone’s face like the unconditional love of a dog licking your face. Unlike humans, dogs are loyal and dependable. They will happily put themselves in danger to protect their family and can see through a person’s shell, spotting out a bad guy from a mile away. There’s a reason the dog has long been labeled as “man’s best friend.” Our four-legged friends have an innate ability to see pain and offer a helping hand (or paw) in time of need.

Dog Bless You is a philanthropic organization that focuses on showcasing the positive impact animals have in recovery. Part of Explore.org, Dog Bless You is on a campaign to donate service dogs to war veterans. For every 1,000 Facebook ‘likes,’ the organization will donate a service dog to a veteran in need through July 4th, 2012.

“The mission of Explore.org is to champion the selfless acts of others, to create a portal into the soul of humanity and to inspire life long learning. What is the easiest way to do this? Through dogs – they see our souls like no other. That is why as we build Dog Bless You, I believe that its mission should be to champion the selfless acts of animals.”
