Perhaps no other time in history has it been more difficult to raise a child (especially a daughter). With the advent of the Internet, television and the overall degradation of society at large, parents have a truly daunting task ahead of them. Add to that the entitlement “participation trophy” crapola being force-fed to our nation’s youth in schools, in the media and everywhere else and it’s no wonder Tommy Jordan aka “Facebook Parenting Dad” went all Dirty Harry and shot up his daughter’s laptop.

GM's Golden Mustache Award

Father of the Year award winner in my book, Tommy Jordan of North Cackalacky, decided to take matters into his own hands and made an example of his 15-year-old daughter after she blasted his parenting skills on Facebook (thinking he would never see). In today’s society, I’m surprised no one has called CPS after this video or for making the poor girl do chores such as making her bed and doing her laundry. Heaven forbid a father teaches his daughter responsibility and the meaning of work. I tip my hat to Tommy for his alternative, but highly effective style of administering much needed discipline, hopefully deterring his daughter from becoming yet another bratty byproduct of the entitlement age. If more parents A: took the time and effort to instill morals and values into their children and B: actually disciplined their little hell spawns, American kids might actually have a shot.
