The phrase “job creation” gets tossed around a lot, especially lately. Sadly, most people in government think jobs are simply created for the sake of creating them. Recently, there seems to be a war on small business owners, touting anti-business rhetoric and imposing heavy regulations on those who wish to start a business. How is this helping to boost the economy or create jobs?
Rep. Mike Kelly from Erie, PA brought this up in a rousing speech, bringing his point home that government regulations are crippling small businesses and the only way to create “red, white and blue jobs” is to “take the heavy boot off the throat of America’s job creators and let them breathe.” His speech was received by a standing ovation by both Republicans and Democrats and even sparked a USA chant.
