For a guy who supposedly hates running, United States Navy SEAL, David Goggins, sure has a funny way of showing it. This badass takes home the top spots in just about every extreme ultramarathon event the world has to offer, while doing so for the greater good of humanity. Goggins has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, an organization that provides full scholarship grants and family counseling for children of fallen special operations warriors. He was dubbed “Hero of Running” in 2008 by Runner’s World and has been featured in numerous magazines and publications.
For his latest feat, Goggins attempted to break the world record for pull-ups in a day. The current record is 4,020. Unfortunately Goggins fell short of his goal at 2,588 pull-ups after severely injuring his forearm, but still managaed to raise more than $20,000 for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and for that we salute him.
