Whether you’re a Pittsburgher or an out-of-towner coming for a game, The Park House is a great place to have a pint. The Park House is the perfect blend of old-fashioned décor and hospitality with modern amenities.

Located in the historic Northside neighborhood of Deutschtown (East Allegheny) since 1889, it’s one of Pittsburgh’s oldest bars. You can’t help but imagine the people who sat at the very same bar over 100 years ago. It’s pretty impressive.

The Park House - Pittsburgh, PA (Zamir Zahavi & son Ari)

At any given night (or day for that matter), you will be greeted by a friendly member of The Park House staff. It could be Ari (Z’s son and heir to The Park House), Jane (a cute, feisty bar tender who makes a mean mix drink) or Zamir Zahavi (“Z”, the owner) himself. It says a lot to me about a place when the owner is down in the trenches doing the dirty work with his employees. “Z” is always on the go, but he still finds time to greet every guest with a smile and hello.

While at The Park House, feel free to feast on the complimentary shelled peanuts and popcorn and release some pent-up aggression by tossing the shells on the floor (don’t worry, you won’t get in trouble). Explore the great selection of craft beers (bottle and draft) and experience the various live bands playing throughout the week. You really never know what to expect when you go to The Park House…well unless you check out their weekly specials and events calendar at ParkhousePGH.com.
