The iPhone has revolutionized just about every industry out there, both directly and indirectly. More than a mere a cell phone, it has taken the place of a computer, GPS, radio, MP3 player and countless other devices including the camera. The quality of cell phone cameras has vastly improved since the garbage flip-phone green screen jobbers, which were one step beyond the “Zack Morris celly,” which needed a backpack for a carrying case.
The latest edition of the iPhone takes high resolution photos that can pass for images captured by a high priced professional camera at a fraction of the cost. Countless companies that have jumped at the opportunity to innovate their own industries following the incredible success of Apple. Photojojo is revolutionizing the cell phone camera, mostly from the iPhone platform.
Photojojo has a ton of interesting products available from phone cases to camera lens mugs and helmet camera mounts, but what really caught our attention were the attachable iPhone lenses. They come in various types including a 2X telephoto lense, a 180° field-of-view fisheye lens and a wide angle/macro lens. Simply attach the lenses to the camera of your iPhone via the magnetic ring, point and click. It’s that easy.
We sent our company photographer out to explore a bit with the lenses for some professional feedback. He didn’t want to return them. We eventually had to bribe him for an undisclosed amount to give them back to us.
