The Wisconsin voters have spoken and they say NO to big labor and YES to fiscal conservatism. Scott Walker has defied the odds and beat the union thugs who organized a recall election after Walker eliminated collective bargain agreements for most state employees while attempting to handle Wisconsin’s multi-billion dollar budget shortfall like an adult.
The proposal, which was agreed to in state legislature, also requires that state employees pay more for their health insurance and pensions (just like the rest of us). Walker became the first governor in U.S. history to survive a recall election and gives hope to fiscal conservatism across the country. Let’s hope other states will follow suit and we can work towards trimming the fat.
