Sir Charles Barkley is back in the spotlight for defending the status of his legendary ‘92 Dream Team as the best team of basketball players ever assembled. Earlier this week, Kobe Bryant made the bold claim that the 2012 USA Olympic basketball team would beat the gold medal winning Dream Team before the 2012 squad played their first game. Barkley responded with a chuckle.
After regaining his composure, Barkley went into a detailed description of what would go down if by some lapse in the space-time continuum, the two all-star squads were to face each other. While on The Mike Missanelli Show on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia, Barkley was asked if the Dream Team would beat the 2012 squad by double digits. Sir Charles didn’t hesitate with a resounding YES adding, “Other than Kobe, LeBron (James) and Kevin Durant, I don’t think anybody else on that team makes our team.”
