What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Hyundai? A zombie apocalypse! Right!? Well, Hyundai has come prepared to survive a hostile takeover of the undead with their custom Zombie Survival Machine. It comes with a spiked “zombie plow,” armored window coverings, roof hatch, front/back floodlights, spiked wheels with all-terrain tires, CB radio and a zombie-killing arsenal of pneumatic weaponry in the trunk.
Based on the Hyundai Elantra body, the Hyundai Zombie Survival Machine will give you the gas mileage necessary to drive for long distances without a dangerous pit stop. Introduced at this year’s Comic Con, the Zombie Survival Machine was inspired by the 100th issue of The Walking Dead, a comic book based on a zombie apocalypse, which later became a hit television series on AMC.
“Our custom Elantra Coupe Zombie Survival Machine is the ultimate car for The Walking Dead fans and anyone who wants to survive a zombie invasion,” said Steve Shannon, vice president of Marketing, Hyundai Motor America. “We are excited for fans to come and experience the Elantra Coupe and GT in a unique, post-apocalyptic way.”
